Pelekas Corfu (Korfu) Greece
Pelekas is about 15 km from Corfu ( Korfu ) town and have been popular with independent travellers for many years, and has something to offer for everyone. Pelekas is a small typical Corfu inland village with narrow streets and traditional churches, close to a series of spectacular Corfu beaches on the island's stunning west coast. Pelekas is for those who want to relax among forested hills, visit sandy beaches and admire the famous Pelekas sunset.
Wonderful views are had from the top of Kaiser's Lookout above Pelekas. There are restaurants with traditional food and drink; budget or top class accommodation; a few shops and minimal nightlife. Pelekas beach can be accessed by one of three roads and there is adequate parking at the northern end. Outside the high season in August it is still a quiet and beautiful spot. The beach is monitored by lifeguards and a warning flag system is in operation. ![]() There are several tavernas and cafes plus numerous shops and tourist agencies and a bus runs regularly to Pelekas beach from the main square. Not far from Pelekas in the Rope Valley is situated Corfu's golf course.
