Kontokali Corfu ( Korfu ) Greece

The kontokali resort is located 8 Km away from Corfu town and Gouvia only 10 KM. Kontokali beach and resort runs along a narrow road to the side of the main road in a flat coastal area close to Gouvia.

Kontokali is not much of a village though there are old buildings, a fine local church and the remains of a castle. A holiday in Kontokali can easily enjoy the attractions of the capital, Corfu Town, other nearby popular resorts, and the shallow waters of neighbouring Gouvia bay.

Kontokali is aplace for families  but not requiring too much in the way of entertainment.

Kontokali beach is very well organized, with swimming and sunbathing facilities (sun beds, umbrellas, toilets and showers). In its major part there are not facilities for sea sports, which makes it more peaceful and safer. The sea is shallow and safe, which makes it popular to families with small children. You may enjoy a drink or have a light meal at the cafe of the beach. You will also meet peddlers selling cheese-pies, sandwiches and refreshments at the beach.

Nightlife entertainment options are modest and relaxed but can be greatly expanded by walking to nearby Gouvia, which offers a little of everything. Gouvia has plenty of cosmopolitan life, some excellent restaurants, and lively nightlife.

Kontokali is popular with couples and boat owners, the latter attracted by the marina, which along with Kontokali beach is the focal point of the resort. Kontokali beach is very clean; a mix of sand and fine shingle with shallow safe water gently sloping to the blue Ionian Sea. There is a smaller beach alongside, which is popular with locals.
