Sidari and Peroulades beach
Some of these rocks, rising out of the sea , from a sort of fjord, a natural canal, known as " Canal d'Amour". Canali is located west of Sidari. Between the remarkable cliffs and rocks, there are nice beaches with sunbeds and umbrellas. The sea is deeper and for safety reason dives are not allowed from the cliffs.A large part of it has been eroded and has crumbled, but the site has not lost its peculiar attraction. The beach east of the village is close to the center too. It is sandy with small stones here and there. The sea is clean, if the wind blows from North, seaweed comes out to the beach. When this happens the local council always put it away. The locals named this wind "Maistro". You will find water ski, banana rides, paragliding, ringos and scuba diving.
It is situated approximately 35 km from the island's capital. The Bay of Arillas has a long sweeping beach with clear blue sea and fine sand, one of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu especially for the lovers of quiet, relaxing holidays. The beach is very safe for kinds, (no deep water) has been awarded the blue flag and offers water sports facilities.
Agios Georgios (Ton Pagon)
The beach is sandy, enormous and calm.It is ideal for families and provides watersports, restaurants and tavernas. Along the 3 km. beach there are many picturesque tavernas some specialising in fresh fish.Also a variety of bars in which to sit and while away the hours, the perfect place to watch the setting sun.
You will find the blue -green waters around Paleokastritsa particularly clear, cool, and refreshing. You can take one of the small boats for a trip around the sea cliffs and caves to experience the coast from a different point of view. Don't forget that rocks provide great points for diving. Snorkelling is another justly popular.
If you like to lay all day long on a sandy beach the ideal place for you is Glyfada beach. The blue flag awarded, Glyfada Beach is one of the most popular Corfu beaches, packed with swimmers and sunbathers at all times of the day. It is found at the west side of the village and in distance 16 km from the Corfu town. It is extended around the foothill of Pelekas village. Glyfada Beach is long, wide and sandy and caters mainly to young people as it offers several beach bars and cafes. It is well-organized with water sports facilities, long chairs and umbrellas.
Ai-Gordis is also one of the most popular touris resort of the island and offer accomodation, bars, tavernas and watersports. The beach in Agios Gordios gets really crowded mostly because the area hosts the popular Pink Palace Hotel which attracts many American and Canadians students. The resort has a few friendly disco/ bars, to spend your night out. At night you can enjoy the nightlife which offer the various beachbars full of young people. Although the beach is fairly narrow, the hotels that line the beach have plenty of sunbathing facilities set in gardens.Dassia has excellent water sport facilities with water skiing, scuba diving, paragliding, boat hire, to name a few. Dassia has an abundance of quality restaurants ranging from traditional Corfiot and Greek cuisine to Chinese and Italian. For those on a budget you can get a good three course meal for under £10 and sample quality Greek cuisine for just a few pounds. The Greeks adore children and they are more than welcome in most bars and restaurants. Ipsos Corfu beach is found in front of the homonymous tourist resort, at a distance of 15,5 kilometers Northwestern to the town of Corfu. The long sandy beach alongside the road of Ipsos offers high quality tourist accomodation, water sports jetties, boat hire and trips,nice traditional tavernas with fresh fish, shops and bars. Ipsos beach it is popular with teenagers and the unique night life with various events.
Barbati beach
Barbati beach is situated 20 kilometres north of Corfu Town, nearby the village of the same name. It was awarded with the blue flag by the European guaranty for the cleanliness . You can discover it with a boat tour, or you can relax on thesunbeds doing heliotherapy. There are also waters-sports jetty and many bars with swimming pools. Acharavi beach Situated at a distance of 37 kilometers northwestern to the town of Corfu, the 3-kilometers long sandy beach of Acharavi is found in front of the homonymous tourist resort. Acharavi beach has carved a niche for itself as a much preferred beach for those who are on a family holiday. The best part about the Acharavi beach is that it comes as a breath of fresh air from the unorganized mess and chaos that is a trademark of the principal highway. .There is an exclusive nudist beach which is ideal for the naturalists becase provides a splendid isolation.I t is equipped with several restaurants, bars, discos and hotel complexes.Acharavi has recently been developed into a modern touristic area. The undulating hills on the distant horizon make for a picture perfect setting. The Albanian mountains towering on the other side looks stunning from a distance.he undulating green hills only goes on to accentuate the beauty of the place. Kassiopi is small in size in comparison to the other beaches found on Kefalonia and one can see all that is there to be seen in Kassioppi in a single day. There are boats of all sizes which are docked in the bay.It is a quite and relaxing tourist resort with no shortage of accomodation, tavernas, bars.
